The resulting page is delivered quickly, listing your PC's processor, cache, memory, memory modules, BIOS, bus clock, etc., along with installed and connected hardware. It also lists software installed on the PC, with a click-through to each program's file location. An Internet connection is required, but the author states that no data is sent to the server. Personal use of BelAsset is free. A licensed version (available for purchase) can collect data in a client/server or intra-Internet environment, or even using a "walk-around method, where you collect data on a floppy disk. That version also can collect and report data in a database-friendly format. BelAsset displays reasonably detailed information that could be very useful for Y2K and general software audits. This free single-user demo version provides a decent preview of the complete program, giving you a good summary of hardware and software on a given PC.

Exploring the treeview menu exposes a host of additional features. You can access Internet Favorites in the integrated Web browser, access local files and folders in the integrated file manager, search your contact list, and send email messages. Another impressive feature is its support for remote and local searches. Enter a keyword or search phrase, and Enfish Onespace returns a list of Web pages and/or local files so fast it will make your head spin. Searches are based in part on local drive and remote Website indexing (you can even index ZIP file contents), and are easily confined to local documents, email messages, music, books, news, sports, and more. There are plenty of other features -- you'll need to download Enfish Onespace for yourself to explore them all. Note: Enfish Onespace is tightly integrated with MS Outlook, and you'll need to set Outlook as your default email client to appreciate all that it has to offer. NOTE: The file downloaded here is a 44 KB setup file which will download the full program file from Enfish Technologies' site.
